Mainstage 3 For Pc Free Download

Programs Like Mainstage For Pc
I dislike the idea of lugging a huge workstation keyboard around to gigs, and softsynths are more powerful in any case. I would essentially be running VSTs with some effects in patch mode, I don't think I'd have much need for sequenced parts or anything beyond the capabilities of Mainstage.I'm planning on buying laptop to be dedicated just to music production / gigging (no internet browing, trying to keep it reliable). I'd prefer to buy a PC since Macs are so much more expensive ($1850 vs $800 for the specs I want). My only real hangup is the lack of Mainstage for PC. I know that similar programs for PC exist (Forte or Rax), but it seems like almost everbody uses Mainstage. Does anybody have experience with using programs similar to Mainstage on PC?I suppose I could just use a full DAW, but that seems like it would really stretch the capabilities of a laptop. The laptop will be fast at least (8 gb RAM, quad core i7, 7200 RPM HDD), but I'm still not confident that running a DAW live would be a great idea for just playing patches.
You should definitely get Ableton Live. It pretty much does everything you are describing and much more (its an amazing studio DAW as well). It runs on both Mac and PC, should you ever decide to come over to the dark side;).With the i7, 8gb RAM, and the 7200 rpm HD you should be flying through sets. It sometimes gets pigeonholed as being a strictly dance, dub step, electronica program (mainly of just how well it handles loops) but it can do so much more if you think outside the box a little bit.Hope this helps.EDIT: Typo. Mainstage Alternative For Pc
I guess I was worried that even Live would be too unstable to gig with reliably, but come to think of it plenty of EDM producers get by with it no sweat.That said, I'm still waffling a bit between Mac and PC because of how great a deal Logic/Mainstage are right now. My current bandmates also use Macs + Logic, but that's more for sketching out ideas. All the recording is done into Pro Tools. It would be nice to trade ideas though without needing to bounce to audio.Even then, PC + Ableton is so much cheaper, and I just prefer using PCs in general. I already dropped $700 on a 88 key weighted keyboard for MIDI, and I'd rather save my money for some good VSTs.
